This week I learned a lot more about differentiated learning. The case studies were fun, coming up with strategies and thinking about the pros and cons for each was a new experience for me. I also enjoyed learning about Universal Design and MTSS. I found our conversation in zoom very helpful, I think it's important to understand that the 3 tier system has more to do with interventions and time in the classroom than whether or not a student has a 504 plan or IEP. Some of those areas on the lesson plan are a little harder to understand, the ones that we didn't always have to fill out, and this week really helped me understand them a little better.
I definitely need to work on my lesson plans still. My feedback was a bit of a shock to me. It all makes sense, but I thought that I had done better and it was a bit of a reality check for me. I am still working on alignment and assessments are still a challenge for me. I look forward to even more growth and learning in these areas. It's a journey, not a race! I'm confident we will get there even with all the changes we are experiencing at this time in our lives.
